Acorn Lodge is a friendly guest house that is convenient for disabled guests as it has a ramp from the street, stair lift to the dining room and ground floor rooms. The guest house is ideally located just a short distance from Torquay’s seafront, town centre and the railway station. The hotel derives its name from the enchanting Ansteys Cove, Torquay, once a smuggler's haven. Ansteys Lea was originally a Victorian gentleman's residence and became a small hotel in 1946. The building’s traditional Victorian ceiling with cornices and roses are a wonderful architectural feature.
