We are a small, friendly, family-run, licensed hotel with tastefully decorated en suite rooms in a superb location overlooking the open parkland surrounding Torre Abbey.
Torquay’s main railway station is a 400 m level walk away, as is the main Torre Abbey beach. We have a large, private car park and we are close to all main bus routes. The English Riviera Conference Centre is also just 500m away, and a level 10 minute stroll will bring you to the busy harbour side.

Directions
By Car
- From the M5, take the A380 to Torquay.
- From Newton Abbot, follow the A3022 towards the town centre.
- At Torre railway station the road splits into 2 lanes. Take the right-hand lane signposted to the seafront.
- Follow Avenue Road through one set of traffic lights.
- At the next set of lights, turn right into Walnut Road.
- Drive 100 m down Walnut Road and Elmdene is in front of you.
- Turn right into the car park.
